AviIT Launches eMan V5 Sharepoint at MRO Europe

Dunfermline (6th November 2007) AviIT, a leading provider of specialist IT based solutions for the aviation industry, is pleased to announce the launch of eMan V5 SharepointTM at the MRO conference & exhibition in Milan, Italy, on the 7th – 8th November 2007.

eMan V5 SharepointTM builds on the success that the current version of eMan has delivered to aircraft engineering maintenance departments and MRO’s as a powerful electronic document library management system. eMan enables engineers to access any type and format of maintenance documentation, complex applications, or OEM  websites from a single, easy to use portal whilst ensuring that only the correct version is used at all times.

eMan V5 SharepointTM extends eMan’s applicability into other areas of airline operations providing a single electronic document repository, distribution and fully auditable document management solution, enabling the creation of multiple user portals for Engineering, Flight Operations and Ground Operations personnel.

Furthermore, eMan V5 SharepointTM enables the integration of XML authoring tools allowing, for example, flight operations manuals to be amended and updated in line with both OEM and internal requirements with full audit and version control facilities. It can also be used to include automated data feeds for gathering third party agency information such as weather, flight plans, notams etc that subsequently are distributed to Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) devices and any other off-line or occasionally connected devices whilst still retaining full version control and audit functionality.

David Brown, CEO of AviIT, commented

We have already seen the significant operational and cost efficiencies that can be generated through the use of eMan within the aircraft engineering environment. By integrating our eMan library management system with the functionality of SharepointTM we can now extend these benefits to all areas of airline operations. We are delighted to be launching our latest technology at the MRO conference and exhibition in Milan.”

AviIT can provide further information on eMan V5 SharepointTM at stand number 206.
